  • Please take down your poster during the break (17:15-17:30) before the evening invited talk on Saturday (after 17:30 the room will be temporarily unavailable for the reception preparation). Alternatively, you can take down your poster during the breakfast (8:00-9:00) or the coffee break (10:30-10:45) on Sunday, Oct. 18.

Poster boards are 5 ft x 4 ft (60 in x 48 in, 152cm x 121cm), landscape orientation. Please plan the size of your poster accordingly. We will provide the means to attach the poster to the poster board.

Your poster should include the title, name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s) and a short abstract. Please use a font that is large enough to be readable from a distance of 12ft/4m for the poster title; the body of the poster should be readable from a distance of 6ft/2m.

We strongly recommend to bring your poster with you to the conference, as it may be difficult to print your poster after your arrival in Montreal. In case you will have to print your poster in Montreal, Copies Concordia can print posters on the spot (printing time depends on how busy the shop is) if you bring in your data on a USB key. Colour printing of a standard A0 (46.8 in x 33.1 in) size poster costs around CAD$70. Please see the map for the location of Copies Concordia.

We recommend that you prepare a paper or a handout summarizing the work presented. Many presenters find it efficient to offer a single-page miniature of the poster. If you decide to prepare one, we suggest you bring copies (~60) with you, as there is no on-site photocopy facility at the conference. In case you will have to make photocopies after your arrival in Montreal, Copies Concordia (see above) is the closest print/copy shop to the conference venue.
If you would like your handout/miniature of the poster to be posted on the online conference program, please send the PDF file of your handout/miniature of the poster to nelsconcordia@gmail.com with the subject “Poster handout” 3 days prior to your poster presentation at the latest.
